Four weeks old... already???

I can barely believe that she is already 4 weeks old. She'll be a month later this week. Time is flying and it makes me sad. But happy too, because that means my husband is that much closer to being done here. That much closer to moving "home". But sad because she is growing up, and since she is such a good baby I don't want her to grow up. The other night she only got up once, at 6 am. I'm in HEAVEN. I love this little GIRL! Sleeping... and stretching.
Her "I'm done taking pictures" face. She looks so cute. I love it.

Peyton is so funny. She loves to lick things. For example, the other night Mike had her on his shoulder and said "Are you licking my shirt"? And she was, so when she started licking her fingers I had to get a picture. Too cute!!!
I think this picture may be my favorite. But then again it's really hard to choose from the thousands I have taken.
Sadly, she doesn't curl up very often when I'm taking pictures. So I had to post this one because I got her to stay for a couple seconds to take this picture.

The last three weeks...

{Picture OVERLOAD}
I know some of you will be happy.

We got a few pictures of my mom with her {only} grand kids right before she flew home.
Some kind of turned out okay. It isn't easy with these boys!

"Wii" is saving our sanity.

First "real" bath. Her umbilical cord feel off Friday, January 8th. Just in time to have Grandma help before she flew home.
Definitely doesn't like the bath too much. That is still the case! I just have to keep pouring warm water on her toes and then she doesn't scream too bad.

Aunt Kaitlyn's FAVORITE outfit.
Ammon smiling so pretty for the camera. He makes me laugh. He sure loves his sister though.

Carter loving on Peyton too. I just have to watch him much closer then Ammon. He's a handful but has adjusted really well to a new baby in the house. At first I was a little worried.

Grandma Watts with Peyton. She came to see her a few days after she was born. Grandma Watts made Peyton lots of blankets and burp rags. Thanks Grandma Watts.
My mom, my sister Kaitlyn, Me and Peyton.

Aunt Kaitlyn... I sure love this girl. She has always been such a huge help to me when I have a baby. Too bad we live too far away to see her everyday. Peyton looks a lot like Kaitlyn's baby pictures, which Kaitlyn looked just like me, so I guess we all look alike.

My mom... Grandma Bale... I love her too. She stayed with me for 2 weeks. We had so much fun. She took me shopping, out to eat (@ Cheesecake Factory), got up with my kids every night, let me sleep, she was a HUGE help. Too bad, because now I miss her so much. Thanks Mom, Love you!
"Grumpy face". Poor girl couldn't keep her eyes open because of the flash going off constantly.

Please stop raining... I need to get out of the house and take my kids to the park!!!!!!

It was flooding every where.
So my Mom left on Friday 1-8, and on Monday 1-11 I decided to go to St. George. By myself, with my three kids. They did REALLY well. The worst thing was that I had to hold going pee for over 4 hours. Not fun, but it was worth it because we had a really fun time showing off our new baby to our family. Mike flew in Friday night after class and then helped me get home Sunday morning. Anyways... this picture is of Carter making a HUGE mess in my mom Christmas wrapping room. Now that almost all of the her kids are gone, she has a wrapping paper room, or did {haha}. Naughty Carter wasted a TON of wrapping paper. Sorry Mom.

Fun with the dogs. He really wore himself out everyday and would put himself to sleep at 7, which is really 6 California time. Tired Carter boy!

Daddy sleeping with Peyton. I love this picture. I have one similar with each of our kids. LOVe IT.
Pretty Peytie, as Dad would say!
Proof that she actually does close her eyes. HAHA. She is the most alert and awake baby. Good thing she is usually really content.

Her famous half smile. too cute.

Couldn't find Carter, or is it Iron Man??? He was asleep. Silly boy.

Peytons' Birth Story

Okay, now I have to try to remember it all. HAHA. It really has taken me a while to get to this. Well it all started on Sunday, December 27th.

5:00 pm- Started having contractions.

7:00 pm- Told my Mom they were pretty hard ones. Timed them and they were anywhere from 2-5 minutes.

8:00 pm- Called Dr. Gonzalez to see what he wanted me to do, since I was Group B Strep positive and needed at least 2 rounds of antibiotics before I could deliver.

8:45 pm- Got a call back, he said to go in and see where I was at. Then they would decide if I needed to stay.

9:00 pm- Left for the hospital.

9:30 pm- Got to hospital and they took me to triage. I was at a 2... what??? Contractions were hard and in a regular pattern though.

10:15 pm- They told me to go walk the halls of the hospital until midnight and then come back. {Not fun}

December 28, 2009

12:00 am- They checked me, I was at a 3. Contractions even harder and still regular. So they kept me.

12:45 am- Started the IV antibiotics.

2:00 am- got my epidural.

2:30- 7:00am- tried to rest.

8:00 am- found out my Doctor wasn't going to be able to make to the hospital to break my water until sometime after 1:00. {NOT HAPPY AT ALL}

2:30pm- Dr. Gonzalez showed up and broke my water. I was at a 5.5 and I told him not to go far because I go really fast.

2:40 pm- Asked to be checked. {At an 8, I think} I was starting to feel "the poopy feeling", as my nurse said. You know the pressure feeling down there.

2:55 pm- Told the nurse she needed to check me. I was "COMPLETE". She quickly called the doctor. He arrived fast and they started getting everything out and ready. He got all gowned up and I started pushing. She just wouldn't come out, I was pushing as hard as I could and it wasn't working. Then the Doctor said "Don't push", so I stopped and could tell that everyone was panicking a little. I kept asking what was going on and then the Doctor said that he needed to cut the cord now. So he cut the umbilical cord before she even came out. It was wrapped around her neck really tightly. Then he started pulling her head really hard. I was so scared. So between me pushing and the Doctor pulling she was born at 3:05. She was BLUE. It was really quite scary. But she quickly started crying and her color turned pink. She was covered with vernix. The nurses asked if she was preemie because of how much she has all over her. She has been a very good and content baby so far. She sleeps very well at night, only getting up usually around 3 and then 6ish. And... I'm so happy to not be pregnant anymore. Oh it is sooooooo nice!

Cutest Baby... Ever!

Okay, I'm sure I'm a little bias... but I am just in LOVE with this sweet baby girl. I don't know what it is about such life changing events that make me really, really grateful for what my Heavenly Father has given me. I am so completely happy with my little family, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have these little children. They are all so precious and I'm so grateful to be their Mommy! I am also so grateful for their Father. He really is the love of my life and I'm so thankful for him. He is the sweetest husband and is willing to stay up at night so I can get some sleep. I really couldn't do it without him.

When I was born I came home in this stocking. So we decided we had to take some pictures of her in the same stocking.

I just LOVE these long, chubby legs. Haha!
{Her Birth Story is still coming soon. We have had lots of family and I don't have any time to get this up here. So I will when everything calms down a bit.}
