Happy New Year

Christmas Morning!

Wake up Ammon, Santa came...
Carter was so happy, he loved watching Ammon open all of HIS presents...
Ammon was so excited I couldn't get him to take his eyes off of his toys and smile for the camera...
The boys in their Christmas PJ's, from Papa and Grandma Bale...
Christmas was so much fun this year, there is nothing like the excitment of little children. I remember that feeling and I could see it in Ammon... I LOVE IT! He is still wanting to watch the Christmas movies that he loves!

Ellett Family Christmas Party

All of the kids frosted sugar cookies and decorated them for Santa.
Here are all the girls!

And all of the boys! Easton and KC had the whole bottle of sprinkles on their cookies! Here are two of my cousins; Dusty had back surgery and Royce broke his ankle... OUCH!
We played The Price Is Right, with real prizes!
And Grandma won EVERYTHING...
We had so much fun with all of our cousins, this has been a tradition since before I was born. Ammon has a crush on his cousin (or actually it would be my cousin Brandons daughter)
Macey. He still talks about playing with her.

Sopapilla Cheesecake

I got this recipe from Good Things Utah, and it is surprisingly really GOOD! I thought it sounded really weird, but tried it because I had everything to make it. It is really yummy! My mom took some to work and it didn't even last long enough to put the apple pie filling on it. You'll have to try it...

Sopapilla Cheesecake

Ingredients:
2 packages crescent rolls
8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cube (1/2 cup) real butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 can (12-16 oz) fruit topping (apple, cherry, blueberry, etc.)

Press 1 package crescent rolls into 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla; spread over rolls. Place 2nd package of crescent rolls on top of mixture (pat thin to cover) Melt butter; mix with 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon then pour over top, and spread to edge Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes until brown. Serve with fruit topping. Do not cover tightly or it will get soggy.

Happy Birthday To Me...

Yes, it is sad. I am posting about my own birthday. But, we had fun tonight- we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with all of my family. Here are some pictures that were taken with my new camera (that I got for my birthday- thanks babe). We had a fun time and Mike was so thoughtful this year. He got me the camera which I already talked about, and some really funny cards. Also my mom took me to lunch and did I say shopping (thanks Mom) I needed some new clothes! Overall I had a great day!

Merry Christmas!!!

Last week we got our family picture taken (Thanks Jess!) and I love it! It's the second year in a row that we have gotten our family picture taken right around Thanksgiving, so I guess we have started a tradition! One of my best friends, Jessica Thomas, has taken it both years. She does an awesome job and I love all of the pictures she took. She also made me this Christmas card, and I think it's adorable! So thanks again Jess!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Sad little monkey!
This is the only picture I have of them together, without Carter crying! He HATES his costume! Too bad Ammon is rubbing his eye!
Yesterday we went to a Halloween Party. It was so cute they played games and sang songs and ate a SCARY lunch. Here are some of Ammons friends left to right: Mckenna, Quinney, Ammon and Gavin.
Here is Ammon and his cousin Mason. Mason looks super cute in his Harry Potter Costume. Ammon had to be Thomas the Train. He has been obsessed since he got tons of Thomas stuff for his birthday.

Carving Pumpkins...

Sunday night we carved our pumpkins. Ammon wanted to help soooo much, especially with the knife! So it was kind of hard but we still had lots of fun. Carter loved to just play with his toys on the grass!

THRILLER

Last night Mike and I (and Carter) went to Thriller at Tuachan. It was amazing, we had so much fun. Carter seriously did NOT cry once! He is such a good baby, I am so blessed. I think the Lord knew if he sent me another Ammon I wouldn't have any more kids. But don't get me wrong, I love Ammon, and he is a good boy now- he was just a really hard baby!

Fun at the Staheli Farm!

Ammon wanted to ride on the horsey...
Once he got on- he decided he didn't want to.
So Dad jumped on and it didn't really make it any better!
But he had LOTS of fun going down the slide into the corn.
Our little family, I love these boys!
Carter had lots of fun too, ha ha ha!

Just Workin' On The Car

Saturday Mike was working on his brakes and Ammon helped so much! He loved helping his daddy. He told his friends that he couldn't play because he had to work on Dads car.

Toilet Training...

So on Sunday we were up at Mikes parents house for Conference, Ammons cousin Mason that is 7 months older then him showed Ammon how to use the toilet. So when we got home Ammon wanted to try. So we put him on the toilet and waited, and waited some more. We turned on the water and tried everything we could think of, but nothing was working. So we started to get him off the toilet and into the tub, but Ammon insisted on staying on the toilet. So after a while he looked up at Mike and said "Dad, it's broken"! We had never laughed so hard, he is so dang cute and says the funniest things. Boy do I love him!!!

Yummy Pumpkin Pancakes

2 1/3 cups Bisquick baking mix
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/4 cups milk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup mashed pumpkin
1/4 cup vegetable oil (or canola oil)

Preparation:
Beat all ingredients with a whisk or hand beater until well blended. Pour batter onto hot, lightly greased griddle or skillet. Cook until tops are bubbly and edges are dry. Turn and cook pancakes until golden brown.

If you don't have dark brown sugar, put in 3T of light brown sugar and 1T Molassas. They are so yummy if you like pumpkin! Enjoy!

Our little Carterpillar

I was feeling like I had left Carter out, since most of the pictures have been of Ammon. But he is growing up so fast, it makes me SAD! He started rolling over on Saturday and is so happy all the time. Everyone coments on how they have NEVER heard him cry. He's just all smiles all the time and I love him so much! P.S. He'll be 3 months old tomorrow, time flies!

Cowboy Ammon

Since the Rodeo, Ammon is really interested in Cowboys. So Grandma Watts bought him his own Cowboy Hat, and he is so excited about it. It had to sit right next to his plate at lunch today. I tried to move it and quickly found out that wasn't a good idea. Don't you just love his "cheese" for the camera???

Like Father, Like Son!!!

Dad was looking at cars in the paper, so Ammon thought he would look too! I thought it was adorable and quickly got the camera.

Twiners!

I love having two boys that I can buy matching clothes for. It is so cute to see them dressed the same and Ammon thinks it is SOOOO cool!

Benefit Dinner

All of these pictures are of Mike's brother Mason's home. Mason and his wife Jaci lost almost EVERYTHING in the flood that happened August 1, 2007. They lived in Virgin in a subdivision with all of Jaci's family. All of the homes were damaged, Mason and Jaci's home was the worst. Some friends of the family have put together a Benefit Dinner to try to raise some money to help them re-build. It will be September 22 @ 6:00 p.m., at the Virgin City Park right next to the Chapel (turn onto Mill Street and go until you run into the Chapel) they will be serving Dutch Oven and it will cost $10.00 per person or $40.00 a family. They will sell raffle tickets for $5.00 and the prizes include a Cruise with Airfare included, a flat screen TV, power tools, etc. etc. You don't have to be present to win, so if you can't make it that night you can buy tickets at S&S Steel, Hurricane Valley Journal or from me, just let me know. This is a great opportunity to help and support this family. So come and enjoy the food and entertainment, and me- I'll be there!!!!
HOPE TO SEE YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS THERE, PLEASE PASS THIS INFO ON.
